Forest School Leader (Level 3)
Due to expansion, we are looking for a Level 3 Qualified Forest School Leader to join our friendly team at our beautiful woodland site in South Norfolk.
The ideal candidate will be practical, flexible, motivated and love working outside in and with the natural environment. They will share our core values of care, compassion, respect and integrity.
They will be a great team player, energetic and fun, with a can-do attitude and a good sense of humour.
The role will include planning, delivering, observing and reviewing high quality, safe and truly learner-led Forest School sessions.

You will have the freedom to plan and run sessions, as well as the support of a team approach. Your First Aid updates, DBS certification, Safeguarding certification and uniform are supplied. We support continued professional development for all staff.
*Applicants for this post must have a Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification and be confident in leading Forest school sessions.
*Must be confident with tools and fire.
*A good understanding of health and safety and the risk benefit analysis process
* 16-hour Outdoor First Aid Qualification
*Be passionate about Forest School, the outdoors and nature, and able to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of all participants at all times.
*A good work ethic, reliable, a willingness to work hard and an ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
* Hands-on, playful and authentic – must be able to make a superb mud pie
*At least 12-months experience delivering forest school
*Experience in supporting participants with SEN and BESD
*A good understanding of the Non-violent Communication (NVC) process
* Level 2 Safeguarding Children Qualification
*Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification
*OCN Level 3 Working with Challenging Behaviour in the Outdoors qualification
*Experience in Bushcraft, Foraging and/or survival skills
Rate of pay: £26,040 - £31,280 pa pro rata dependent on experience and qualification
1-2 days per week with the opportunity for additional hours to cover busier periods, annual leave etc
Temporary contract initially.
This role is subject to a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), and satisfactory references.
